Project Highlights

WABC

Solar Electric completed the design and installation of the theatrical lighting, support grid and dimming system for WABC's new television studio in August 2011.

Metro-North Railroad

Solar performed the electrical and data work associated with Metro-North's new critical operations data center as well as the interior fit-out of their administration spaces in White Plains, NY. This project was completed in 2010.

Queens Public Library

Solar performed the electrical and data work construction associated with the new Children's Library Discovery Center as well as the electrical renovations to the existing library. This project will be competed in 2011.

Yankee Stadium Garages and Parkland

Solar performed the electrical construction for new Parking Garages B and C at Yankee Stadium as well as the electrical work associated with the Roof Top Park (Parkland) above Parking Garage A in the Bronx, NY. These projects were completed in 2010 for the Hunter Roberts / Prismatic Joint Venture. Solar has since been awarded new projects with both Hunter Roberts and Prismatic.

Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant

Solar is working with Carlin Contracting Co., Inc. to install a new nitrogen removal and associated chemical treatment systems in the Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant. The purpose of the project is to treat wastewater and remove nitrogen before the water is discharged into the Long Island Sound. Solar's work includes power and control wiring. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2013.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

The Building 7 Project for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals was the most recently completed of three new 4-story laboratory and office buildings in Tarrytown, NY. Solar completed the electrical fit-out of Building 7 for Pavarini Construction in 2011, and Buildings 5 & 6 in 2009 for William A. Berry, a division of Suffolk Construction.

Cross County Shopping Center

Solar performed the electrical rehabilitation work of Retail Building 2 and various peripheral areas in the historic Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, NY. This project was completed for Whiting-Turner in 2010. Solar has since maintained a presence onsite performing retail fit-out work within multiple tenant spaces.
